The first European ABCD Summit was held in Liverpool, England on June 2-3, 2009. 120 neighborhood people from Ireland, England and Holland shared their information and experience with an asset based approach in their local communities.The Summit was organized by our International ABCD Faculty members Cormac Russell of Ireland and Henk Cornelissen of the Netherlands.

In partnership with ABCD, Coady Institute colleagues Gordon Cunningham and Alison Mathie have just published an edited volume titled, From Clients to Citizens: Communities Changing the Course of their own Development, which features case studies of asset-based community development efforts around the world.
